2 out of 5 stars Quality control and support problems   August 10, 2010
T.J. (Southern California)
From the beginning I have been unable to get the larger receiver to display the outdoor temperature from the sensor (the smaller receiver works fine). I contacted La Crosse and they have had me changing batteries and trying different reset procedures -- so far useless. They have not been willing to consider the possibility that the unit is defective. Their support (email) is very slow and very unhelpful, and the reset procedures tedious, time consuming and not user-friendly. From reading reviews of other La Crosse weather products I see a common theme of defective units and poor support. I don't know how this problem will finally resolve, but I suspect this is the last La Crosse product I will buy for a long time.
Update: La Crosse gave me permission to return the non-working unit at my own expense, and promptly sent me a working replacement. I should be satisfied, but they used my box and packing material for the return and did not pack it nearly as carefully as I had so that my "new" unit sustained a large dent in one corner. I should complain and ask for another replacement, I am just tired of the whole business. I'll live with the dent in the corner and next time buy a different brand.

3 out of 5 stars poor wireless reception.   June 9, 2010

I bought this one to replace my old Oregon Scientific Weather Station. It is kind of working but the wireless reception is poor. Very often (more than 1/3 time when I was checking) it can not get signal from the sensor. This becomes worse when it is cloudy or rainy day. The sensor is about 40 feets away from the station and there are several walls in between. My old Oregon Scientific ones never had a problem with the wireless signal at the same location.

5 out of 5 stars Weather Station   May 18, 2010

The La Crosse Weather Station arrived quickly and was easy to set up. I've been using it ever since it arrived. It seems to work fine.

4 out of 5 stars Nice product   May 16, 2010
James M. Maggi (Minnesota USA)
I like it although I've only had it for a couple weeks. Tried to put the remote sensor in my freezer to check temp but as the battery got cold it couldn't transmit thru the metal freezer wall. Other than that it works well and is a bargain .

5 out of 5 stars Great Home Weather Station - Accurate!   May 13, 2010
Thomas J. Flynn (Ft. Worth, TX)
We really love this weather station. This is our second La Crosse station. It's important to keep in mind that this station operates on a separate, higher frequency so it will not interfere with any other weather stations ( combination inside/outside) stations you may have. We use this station as the main station in our Family room. We use the other, smaller station, in our master bathroom. It's always nice to know what the temperature and humidity are outside, especially early in the morning. The Atomic clock and barometer are super added features.
