Do old and new mix? July 1, 2010 B. Brockman (Ohio, United States) My La Crosse base unit is 4 years old. The outdoor remote gave it up so I ordered this replacement. Now the barometer only works part time and the temp shown on the remote is not always the same as on the base, some times as much as 7 degrees apart. Guess looking out the window would be almost as good but that is not very high tech.
Don't be deceived by the picture November 4, 2009 B. Johnson 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
While this product works great, the picture leads you to believe that there are 2 units. My fault I guess, I didn't read the description close enough, but it was a little frustrating since I could have purchased a unit for $8 less that worked just as well. Bummer.
Good device September 9, 2009 Benoist Castera (Miami FL) I got one device in the attic and another one in the crawling space to control energy efficiency. These were excellent tools to optimize my Air conditioning and insulation in my Florida house.
La Crosse Technology TX28U-IT 915 MHz Wireless Temperature and Humidity Sensor - Don't throw away the packaging material! September 8, 2009 Marsh Hawk (NE) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this gadget to monitor humidity and temperature in my crawlspace but never got it to work. After multiple trials and one attempt to deal with the company I gave up in disgust. Considering that others voice similar issues my advise is caution: buy if you think you need it but be ready to return if it doesn't work.
Yes and No March 18, 2009 Satisfied Customer 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The weather station worked great but the additional remote did not. Amazon readily accepted a return but it was frustrating trying to get it to work. I contacted LaCrosse and they said the additional remote was not compatible with the main station. While that may be true, I think the additional remote was defective.
