Does not work with additional sensors July 8, 2008 While the instructions and the manual lead you to believer that this unit works with additional sensors, it does NOT!.
La Crosse Wireless Weather Station WS-8035U June 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This weather station is exactly what I was thought I was purchasing. It hasn't turned out to be an aggravating battery hog, so far (4 months with original batteries). Resetting the minimum and maximum temperatures is easy, but the button activators sometimes don't activate without a very firm push. Accuracy seems to be fine, as compared to other thermometers and hygrometers. Altogether, it is appropriately priced and I have no regrets.
Great Weather Station May 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great and very accurate product. I have had mine over two years with the tempurature and humidity sensor. I check it every morning before I leave for work to see the outside tempurature and humidity. I also look to see what it is predicting for the day (sunny, partly cloudly, or rain is coming). It's predictions are almost perfect for the day. Occaisionally it forecasts weather that is coming the following day. I have had my unit for over two years and have only needed to change batteries one time in the inside unit only. Another plus is it maintains accurate time based on the atomic clock which always shows you correct time.
I have no cons for this product! It has been great for me.
Great clock May 30, 2008 Lots of very accurate date/time/atmospheric info on the clock face that is sure to excite many weather-related enthusiasts. The fluctuations in barometric pressure are used to forecast the weather; though, I'm not sure how reliable this is just yet - I need to play around with the settings a little more.
Overall a great clock and a worthwhile investment!
Very poor quality clock May 19, 2008 I purchased this weather station three months ago, and have generally been happy with the weather aspects of it. I live on Cape Cod and am beyond the atomic clock radio signal from Colorado that sets the time. I wasn't too concerned about that because the write-up on Amazon said the clock on this unit can also be set manually. In the three months that I have had the unit, it has gained four hours. Even the cheapest digital watch you could buy would keep better time than that. I am disappointed that they scrimped on the clock - putting in an accurate clock would probably added a couple of cents to the cost.
